Massie von Saxen was sitting in her normal meadow, trying her best to be concealed from the world while she played her guitar. After watching Juno she'd be inspired to learn how to play the song that Micheal Cera and Ellen Page played together in the end. "You're a part time lover and a full time friend," She let the last word slip out through her teeth. "Messed up," She re-tuned her guitar for what felt like the fourth time. "Okay..." She bit her lip and strummed. "You're a part time lover and a full time friend," Nailed the first verse... "The monkey on your back is the latest trend," Keep going, Massie... "I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else, but you," Yes ! First part, "Here is the church and here is the steeple; we sure are cute for two ugly people," She bit her own tongue for about a second to keep from laughing. "I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else," She smiled. "But you," Massie sighed. "Okay, I need to practice on it a little more, but it's good," She judged her own self because no one was there to hear her....
Hopefully. Massie couldn't stand performing in front of people. Stage fright. And a bad case of it. "C Major, third line. That sucked," She tried to remember how she played. "Everything else was good, overly. Perfectionist, perfect," She tried to talk about herself in third person, but she was never really that good at third person. "You can work on it, Mass," She opened her turquoise bead bag and pulled out Evian Face Mist. "So humid out here," Massie sprayed some on her face, guitar, and hands. "Now where's my actual water, can't drink this..." She shuffled through her bag. "Aha," Massie pulled it out.
"Don't need my throat getting dry..." She coughed. "Crap," She muttered while taking one more sip, then putting it away. "Okay, I still need practice..." She breathed in. "I need to learn to play this, I love the song. And the rhythm is so pretty..." So practice ! Her mind encouraged her. Massie pulled up the sleeves of her white hoodie, and stuck her hood up on her head. The White Leggings that were on her legs were getting stuck in her white converse, causing her to pull them out, which mean putting her guitar down on the ground. "Okay, just put it down," Massie closed her eyes, and put it on the ground right next to her.
Pulling the fabric out of her shoes, she giggled. "I'm such a wuss," She picked her guitar up again. "Always scared of a 'lil dirt !" Massie laughed openly for once. "Okay, let's start playing again," She picked up her guitar. "Ech-hem," She cleared her throat, strummed twice, then started. "You're a part time lover and a full time friend," Good job... "The monkey on your back is the lat-est trend," Keep this up ! "I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else, but you," Amazing, good job, Massie ! In her own mind Massie couldn't help but think of what it would be like if people heard her voice, and that's what she thought of. "Here is the church and here is the steeble, we sure are cute for two ugly people," She kept singing, her heart smiling like her face. "I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else. But you," She smiled when she finished. Her own imagination was running wild right now, flowing with the ideas of her being a famous singer, everyone knowing her name. "Like that'd ever happen to you," She told herself. "Keep dreamin'," She sighed. Massie knew it would never happen, her becoming famous. She was her, and no one really liked her voice. Or her guitar playing. No one had even heard her sing, except Ellie, and that was on accident.
All she had now to do was dream, and still hope that no one was standing there listening to her.
