Harper arrived at the cafe, her eyes searching around for any sign of Xavier. He had called her right after school got out, and they had met up in the school parking lot and chatted about their 'not date' they had, in which they would be meeting each other at the cafe at six o'clock. It was about five minutes after six now, and she felt a little nervous. "It's alright. Maybe he's just a running late. He'll meet you inside like he said.. " she told herself, afraid that she was going to get stood up.

Before she entered the cafe, she checked her outfit, making sure she looked just right. She had taken the time to get all dolled up before she came, just to impress Xavier. She was wearing a fitting brown dress that showed off her curves nicely, a cropped black blazer, and black designer heels. They were her current favorite pair of shoes, and she put her outfit together around the shoes.

With a large breath, she finally walked forward and into the building, the small bell chiming that someone had entered. A rather mousy looking waitress came to seat her, and when she asked how many, Harper was more than delighted to say that there would be two people dining. With a certain hop in her step, she quickly followed the waitress--who had introduced herself as Mary--to her table and sat, playing with one of her curls as she waited patiently for Xavier to arrive.

Xavier called Harper and told her to meet him at the cafe. He walked over to his car and got in, Xavier decided to quickly drive home so he could change. The reason that he was changing was because he wanted to look half way decent at the cafe. He put on a button down shirt with blue jeans and he had his hair perfect like always. He drove to the cafe and got out of his car. He was happy Harper asked him to hang out today, they were probably going to be really good friends. Xavier walked in the cafe and looked around for Harper he saw her sitting down and he smiled at her. He walked over to Harper. "Sorry I'm late. Had to go change." He said and smiled again but this time showing his teeth.

Xavier was happy that he meant someone other than Andie, she was his only friend. Xavier sat down across from Harper. "So, are you hungry?" He asked her. Andie and him never went out to eat because of the fact that she didn't eat. Xavier looked at Harper she seemed to have changed as well. She was now wearing a cute brown dress. Xavier raised his eyebrows a little when he saw how good it look at her. He quickly looked away so it didn't seem he was checking her out.

Xavier wasn't really sure what to say. "You look um nice." He said and then smiled. It was kind of weird for him to say that to her, she wasn't his girlfriend. Xavier wasn't sure if Harper would take that the wrong way or not, hopefully she would just see it as a friendly complement.

Harper's face lit up when she saw Xavier walk through the cafe door, looking quite dapper. Not that his old ouftit made him any less cute, but he just looked damn adorable now. And when he smiled at her, she couldn't help but to smile back; it was almost reflexive. "It's okay. You're not that late, anyways." she answered with a wave of her hand, as if to blow the thought away.

When Xavier asked if she was hungry, she smiled wider, "Oh my god, yeah!" she replied, her stomach grumbling almost as if in response. "I'm thinking a veggie burger sounds good. How about you?" she asked, lightly picking up a menu that was on the table, her eyes barely glancing over it, seeing as her full attention was currently on Xavier.

Her head popped up when she heard Xavier compliment how she looked. That had maybe just made her week. Who would have known that three words (not counting 'um') could have such an effect on her. "Thank you! And you don't look too bad yourself." she retorted, her eyes falling on his snakebites for just a second before going back up to meet his ocean blue eyes. She had so badly wanted to get snakebites herself, but, of course, her mom said no.. and the fact that it would probably hurt had something to do with it, too.

Xavier saw Harper smile back at him, they always seemed to smile at each other. Xavier looked at her when she said he wasn't that late. "Well, I promise I'll never be late ever again." He told Harper. Xavier laughed. "Well then, I'll buy you some food." He said and then finished with a smile. Xavier couldn't help but think yet again if she'd take that the wrong way, maybe he was just being paranoid. Xavier brought his attention back to Harper. "Hm, I guess I'll have a regular burger." Xavier told Harper. Xavier checked the menu to make sure they had what he wanted; of course they did.

Xavier smiled wider when Harper suddenly looked up at him. She seemed a little in shocked that he said that. "Thanks." He said in reply to her complement. The waitress came up to their table. "Hi I'm Melissa, can I start you out with a drink?" She asked the two of them. "Um, I'll have a coke." Xavier told her looking at Melissa with his beautiful blue eyes. "Okay, and what about you?" She asked Harper now looking at her.

It felt like a thousand butterflies started dancing around in her stomach when Xavier said he would never be late again. Does that mean we'll be going out places more?! she thought, showing her perfect teeth at the sudden hope. "I'll remember that." she answered, knowing very well that she probably wouldn't have gotten mad if he were an hour late. God, i'm such a push-over..

Harper's smile brightened when Xavier said he would buy her food for her. This has SO got to be a date! He complimented me, and now he's buying me food! Ohmigod, Nym is so gonna hear about this! she thought, unable to find words, so she just nodded her head and looked back down at the menu for no apparent reason; it wasn't like she would need it.

When their waitress came and introduced herself, she automatically began to pick things out about her. For instance, she had lovely green eyes that made her own look terrible, her legs looked nice, but not near as nice as the heels she herself was wearing made her legs look. Overall, she found that she looked better than Melissa, but out of a slight lack of self-confidence, she felt like she still had to compete with the girl for Xavier, which was obviously not the case. "I'd like a lemonade, please." she answered with a smile, and watched as she walked away to go get their drinks. "So . . . what kind of music do you like?" she asked, immediately feeling like a retard. What kind of a question was that to ask on a date?!

Xavier watched as the waitress went to get their drinks. He drew his attention back to Harper. He smiled at her. "Um, I like a ton of different types of music. Mostly screamo and rock." Xavier told her. He wasn't sure if Harper thought this was a date, should he tell her that he had a girlfriend? "What about you?" He asked her back. "What music do you listen to?" Xavier added.

Andie would probably be so pissed at him if she saw him right now. Xavier felt kind of bad. But, he was surly only having a late lunch with a friend. Xavier did the same flip thing with his hair as he did in class. He was trying to not feel guilty.

The waitress brought them their drinks and set them down. Xavier looked at Harper and then at her. "Are you ready to order?" She asked them. "Um, I'll have a hamburger." Xavier told her. She looked at Harper again and waited for her to answer.
