A small brunette could be seen, reaching on her tippy toes in attempts to reach the dehydrated dinners that were unstrategically placed at the top of the shelves, forcing incredibly short people--like Arabella--to reach for the stars just so she could purchase dry powdered food. "Please. I know you want to come on a hiking trip with me..." she whispered, in an attempt to sweet talk the food into somehow appearing in her hands, something she knew was completely impossible. 'What I wouldn't give to have an extra few inches...' she thought, biting her lip as she tried to devise a scheme to achieve her almost impossible goal so she could lead a hiking expedition through the forest in order to get a feel of it without going wolf. Her slate blue eyes narrowed at the dehydrated raisins as she backed up from the shelf, leaning backwards so she could peek into one of the rows in the small hiking shop. 'Aha.' she thought before her attention was back on the food that seemed just out of grasp. Making sure her white t-shirt along with her gray vest were covering her flat somach, along with pulling up her loose-fitting jeans, she backed up, making sure to get a running start before she let out a grunt, hoping her crazy idea would work. The little brunette climbed to the highest shelf, an accomplished grin on her face. "Gotchya!" she squealed, holding the raisins in her hand triumphantly before what seemed her world crashed down below her. Due to the fact that the shelves were rather flimsy, they gave out, crashing down to the floor, leaving her there, literally clinging on for her life. Panic struck through her as she looked down, seeing her small ballet flats dangle over what seemed feet of air, serperating her from the ground. "Ahhh, hello?" she squeaked, but it seemed to come out as a small pant, due to the fact she was so frightened she could barely speak. 'Oh goodness! Look what you've gotten yourself into!' she thought, a little angry that she couldn't seem to have just asked for help when she needed it. 'I guess I'll just have to work on that..' she thought before shifting her weight slightly and looking down at the ground below her, "Holy crap!" she gasped, her hands automatically clutching the small metal shelf tighter, but Arabella wasn't quite used to using her brute strength, so she hung there with her slim but muscular arms beginning to shake. Bella struggled to find a way on how to get out of her dilemma without dying. So far, no luck. STATUS|| done. NOTES|| none. TAGS|| HERO?! OUTFIT|| something saucy CREDIT|| katie.

Bentley entered Newton’s Hiking Store; it was the only store located anywhere close to him that carried any camping supplies what-so-ever. The door rang as the door closed behind him. He glanced casually around, “Hey Rob.” he said, greeting the cashier who lived just a few houses away from him in La Push.
He was dressed pretty basic today, the weather was alright out, not that it mattered. He wore a pair of dark washed denim jeans, a white wife beater, and a grey blazer over top of it. He also had on a pair of white shoes, and a cross necklace that his dad had given him long ago.
Bentley had a mental list of what he needed, a new tent; his old one was simply too small since he’d phased, a compass, and some dehydrated food. The first two were simple enough, they were close to each other. He picked up a suitable on of each when his head snapped up-- hearing a crash of shelves, then a squeaked “Ahhh, hello?”.
He hurried around the aisle, and to the place he’d heard the crash, which just so happened to be his next stop anyway. His jaw dropped a little when he realized that there was a pretty girl- and wolf; clinging desperately to the collapsing shelves. Bentley dropped the tent and compass and rushed toward her.
She was dangling awkwardly in the air, quite tall for someone so short, quivering. “Well..” Bentley said chuckling, stepping towards her. As a rule, he didn’t usually make physical contact with girls he’d never met before but she seemed kind of in need. “Seems like you got yourself into a mess.” he said putting his hands on her hips bringing her back down to the ground gently, he let go.. She was really light to Bentley, so it wasn’t like it had taken much effort. “I’m Bentley.” he added.

Before she could even really think about letting go, a pair of strong hands were on her hips, helping her down. Her eyes were a little wide when she turned around, facing the stranger. The scent hit her hard, and she instantly relaxed; something she did when she was in the prescence of her kind. A slow smile spread across her lips as she pulled herself together, tring her best not to stammer like a retard. "T-thanks.." she said, instantly frowning at how silly she must've sounded to the hunky wolf stranger. Upon mentioning his name, she smiled a small little grin before sticking her hand out, "Nice to meet you Bentley, I'm Arabella. But you can call me Bella if you'd like." she said sweetly, thinking of adding on something, but snapping her mouth shut before she could say anything that could've been taken the wrong way. Instead, she offered him a small smile and took a deep breath before she spoke again, "Thanks. For uh, saving me." she chuckled, feeling a little dumb for climbing the shelves like some kind of animal. With a small sigh, she looked around the mess around her, leaning down to pick up a dehydrated bag of raisins, a triumphant smile on her face. "I knew I'd get them, one way or another." she giggled before tucking it under her arm and looking over at the things he had once been holding before he--heroically--saved her from a lot of pain. "Oh, uh, were you planning on going camping?" she asked, her eyes curious as she looked at the tent and then up at him, admiring how pretty his eyes were. 'Come now, a boy like him is bound to have a girl. Stop being such a fan girl.' she thought, biting her lip before she then realized how nosey she must've sounded, "Oh! You don't have to tell me if you prefer not to. I didn't mean to stick my nose into things." she said, laughing a little before she readjusted the bag, looking down at the mess she'd made and frowning, 'I guess I should start cleaning this up...' she thought, running her free hand through her messy brown locks before she put the raisins down and began to clean up the mess. Bentley smirked at her rather shocked expression when she turned around to see him. “No problem.” he said casually. “You’d be surprised how many girls I save from falling off high shelves.” he said chuckling, exposing his bright smile. Bentley always felt more at ease when he was talking to another of his kind, because there were no worries of being judged, and no secrets; that was always so apparent.
“Nice to meet you Bella.” he said shaking her hand coolly noticing her pretty grin and unique attitude. “Really, it was nothing.” he said waving it off. He figured he wouldn’t bother mentioning the fact that just down at the end of the aisle, were stepladders. She’d probably been embarrassed enough that he could leave it out.
Bentley rolled his eyes and smiled as she grinned triumphantly talking to the inanimate bag of dehydrated foods. “Yeah I was, and it’s fine.” he said reassuring her that her worry was unnecessary. “I have no idea where, or who with, but I gotta get out of Forks for a bit.” he said his smile fading a little. it’ll probably be easier for izzy to accept things, if I’m gone for a while… he thought sadly. oh well…..
As she ran her hand through her thick, brown hair, the air of the fan that was blowing in the store brought her scent directly to him. damn she smells yummy. he thought without thinking. “You smell different, but a good different.” he said laughing, hoping that she’d realize it was a compliment, after all they were both wolves, and their senses were enhanced. He wasn’t lying, she smelt like no one he’d met before, it was slightly floral, and natural, yet the apparent smell of wolf was still there.
He bent down to the ground to help her pick up the mess of food. He read a few of the titles, raisins, banana chips, dehydrated spaghetti? how is that even possible? he scrunched his face slightly in disgust at the product, and put it back on the shelf.

Arabella's heart stuttered for a second when he flashed his perfect smile, but then she felt it kick start again, making her blush slightly at the fact that she was probably swooning over the stranger already. His statement made her frown slightly before she actually got the joke and laughed before mentioning, "I guess I'm just lucky you decided to save little 'ol me." she giggled before looking over at him, a little curious about him. 'Wonder of he's in a pack..' she thought before biting her lip, knowing it was way too soon to even ask that. 'That's just plain rude.' she thought, making sure she'd get to know him before pestering him with even more questions. Bentley sparked her attention when he said he was in fact going camping, just like she had been planning to. "Me too! I'm trying to get a feel of the forest..." she said, trailing off before a small smile spread across her lips and she spoke again, "I know this is probably really really bold of me to ask, but would you want to maybe camp together? Maybe you could show me around the forest...? But you don't have to if you don't want to." she smiled serenely, making it obvious that she didn't mind either one of his choices, seeing as she felt a tad rude for even asking if he'd put up with her for God knows how long. One of her nicely shaped eyebrows rose at his compliment and she couldn't hide the smile pulling at her lips. "Well, uh, thanks. You smell different too. But the good kind of different..." she said akwardly before letting out a nervous laugh, mentally kicking herself for acting a fool. Descretely as possible, she inhaled his scent, enjoying the masculine scent of the woods along with something else...whatever it was, it made her want to sneak over to his house and steal a jacket for her own sniffing pleasures. 'Tehe, I am such a freak sometimes. He does smell delicious though...' she thought, giggling mentally before she shook her head, rendering the thoughts. Bella bent down as well, picking up the strange dehydrated foods, turning her head slightly at the dehydrated hamburger, 'Can you say eww?' she thought before looking over at Bentley, who was making adorable little faces. "Huh, these are some, uh, delacacies, no?" she joked, smirking a bit before she placed the last few bags on the shevles, making sure to grab the raisins she had gone through all the trouble of getting, not to mention snagging a couple dehydrated ice cream sandwhiches. "Thanks for helping me again.." she smiled sweetly before she looked around nervously, clasping the bags to her chest as she heard the outside howl that could only belong to her alpha. Taking a deep breath, she shook it off before smiling over at her newly found aquantance, she asked, "So when do you plan on going on this excursion?" a little shakily as she tried to ignore his call. 'I really don't feel like submitting now. I'm tired and I just want a few days to myself. If he has a problem with it, tough cookies.' she thought, slightly snickering at her disobediance. Bentley smiled genuinely. Izzy blushed when he smiled sometimes too, but it was somehow different- cuter when Arabella did it. ’it’s probably ‘cause izzy hates you’ he sneered sarcastically to himself. “Well I wasn’t going to let little ‘ol you crash to your death.” he said chuckling, teasing her subtly.
His eyebrows shot up in surprise when she suggested that they go camping together. He was by no means opposed to it, in fact he had no problem with it at all, it was just, as she said, bold. “I’m cool with that.” he said matching her serene smile, “besides, it’s better than going alone. It’ll be fun.” he said, his smile morphing into a smooth one.
He smirked as she smiled, obviously taking it the intended way, and laughed as she even returned it. “I guess that’s good then, I mean, if you wanted to put up with me in the forest.” he said shrugging, with a grin. He wanted to kick himself in the butt for sounding so lame, ’smooth, real smooth. he cursed. The air that was blowing around the store from the fan, and air conditioning was slightly irritating, as it was so artificial-smelling, but Bella’s scent evened things out. ’If she smells this yummy in here, I’ll bet she smells even better in the forest.’ he thought mischievously.
“Definitely no.” he said laughing. “What the hell is this crap? Who would eat some of this stuff?!” he asked holding up a few bags showing her before he put them back onto their rightful spot on the shelf. “Dehydrated peas, tomato powder, hash browns?” he shuddered. “That is stuff that’s best left fresh.” he decided. There were a few decent foods, like her choice; raisins, dried banana chips, and a few alright vegetables. He chose a few and put the rest back on the shelf. ’I’ll stick with canned food. Preservatives over dehydration.’ he firmly told himself mentally.
He heard the howl outside, and he looked to the door curiously, ’that definitely wasn’t Trenton, Scout, or Aless…’ he confirmed, but he noticed her nervous reaction. “Are you in a pack?” he asked curiously, but trying not to be invasive. She seemed to recover and asked about when he wanted to go on their camping trip. “Hm.” he said, thinking about it for a moment. “It doesn’t really matter to me, whenever you want to go I guess.” he said laughing nervously. With an extra person, it would require a bit of planning, unlike before. Bentley hadn’t had a specific time or location decided, although he was considering southern the lowly populated maritime’s of Canada of course, she probably wouldn‘t want to go that far if she had a pack. “Where do you want to go?” he asked considerately.

A delicate laugh escaped the brunette’s lips as she listened to him tease her, something that she was almost too used to. With a playful frown, she said, “Death? Oh please. I’m indestructible.” she bit her lip, trying to frown but failing miserably. A large grin took it’s place on her unglossed lips, revealing her bright smile, one that had broken many, many hearts. “But, if it helps your ego, then we can just say you saved me from a tragic death.” she giggled, accidentally winking at him before she froze; shocked that she had actually winked. Bella never winked. Ever. “S-sorry.” she said in a hushed whisper, feeling bad that she had almost-kind-of flirted with him. ‘He probably thinks your icky. Surprised he hasn’t been repelled yet..’ she thought, biting her lip before he answered her rather bold question. Bella’s eyebrows shot up when he agreed to the camping fiasco and she couldn’t help but chuckle a little when he mentioned that it would be more fun to go with her rather then alone. . “And it can be strictly business. I know how annoying it must be to always have to put up with an annoying little girl.” she said, rolling her eyes before she crossed her arms, feeling a little self conscious from her own words. The fact that he had agreed to her really surprised her, and she was a little wary as to how he felt about her. ‘He probably feels really sorry for me. I bet he doesn’t even want to go..’ she thought, biting her lip before she offered him an apologetic smile, “And you don’t have to take me, really. I totally understand if you don’t want to.” she said timidly before looking down at her heels, wondering what was going through his head. His next words made her laugh a little before she shook her head, a little curious to see just how good he could smell. “Ahh, I think we’ll do perfectly fine together.” she smirked before catching her statement and frowning, “Er, I mean, when it comes to putting up with each other’s scents..” she rambled, mentally kicking herself in the mouth for how much of a tard she sounded like. The light laughter in the air helped her relax slightly and she couldn’t seem to suppress the giggles that were escaping her throat as he spoke. With one eyebrow raised, she looked down at the bag before saying, “Yum, dehydrated lasagna!” sarcastically before she laughed and put it back on the shelf before an idea popped into her head and she looked over at him with an amused look. “I think we should both pick out the grossest food here for the other to eat.” she laughed, already scanning the shelves for a meal that only a desperate person would eat. Arabella immediately frowned when he asked her if she was in a pack, and she swallowed hard before answering, unsure if she should tell him or not. ‘Not like he’s not gonna find out..’ she thought before nodding to his question, but she didn’t bother to answer it with words. A wave of relief washed over her when he changed the subject and she shrugged before saying, “Well, you’re my tour guide, so wherever is good. I’d like to cover a lot of ground though. I’m supposed to have this forest memorized already…” she sighed, hating how bossy her alpha was. ‘It’s only because he trusts me as beta. The rest of them…oh god.’ she thought, trying not to shudder like she wanted to. When he spoke again, her head popped up and she smiled over at him saying, “I think the uh…boundary line? I probably need to know that…and just..uh, wolf stuff I guess.” she laughed, knowing how awfully weird she must’ve sounded to her new friend slash tour guide slash uber hot hunky super hero guy Bentley. Bentley chuckled at her curious attempt at a frown. “Hm, indestructible?” he said raising one eyebrow with a sly smile. “Thanks for sparing my ego, but either way I’d rather not watch anyone plummet to the floor if there’s anything I can do about it.” he laughed returning the wink that she had seemed embarrassed for giving.
A look of surprise crossed his face momentarily as she spoke. She clearly didn’t have much of an idea what she was actually like. “Sure, business.” he nodded, half-agreeing. “And stop it, you’re hardly annoying.” he laughed. “Little; yes,” compared to me anyway “but not annoying.” he said smiling reassuring her hesitation, and unsureness. “It’s fine, really. No big deal, end of story.” he said laughing.
Bentley smiled, it was sort of cute how she was trying to hold back anything that she thought could be interpreted as flirting. He nodded, “I think everything will be okay.” he said chuckling.
He smiled schemingly at her comment. “You’re sick…. and devious; I like it.” he laughed as he began to look for something disgusting. ’dehydrated scrambled eggs.’ He chuckled mischievously. “Yum..” Bentley had been forced to try those a few years back with his friends on a camping trip and he’d never tasted something so sickening in his life. They were even worse than the eggs you make with that fake yolk.
The frown on her face made it apparent that she wasn’t very into talking about her pack, and he understood. He’d never really been in a pack, there was only two or three other wolves around his age he knew, but they’d never really formed a pack bond.
Bentley laughed slightly when he was referred to as a ‘tour guide’. It sounded awkward, and like a shitty profession, but he knew it wasn’t literal. “I can do that.” he said nodding. “I pretty much know the forest like the back of my hand by now…” he trailed off. “Yeah, we can start at the boundary line, Forks is flooding with vampires and hybrids and crap now anyway.” he sneered. The Cullens’ treaty had been changed since Bella and Edward, and any person who knew the secrets who wanted to be changed willingly, were allowed to be. “I’ll show you the beach, cliffs and that stuff too I guess.” he said scratching the back of his head unsurely. There wasn’t a whole lot to be seen in La Push. “You can smell the paths all over the place anyway, if you ever got lost, on your own I mean..” he said smiling half-heartedly, feeling foolish.
